Noah found favor with the LORD. (Genesis 6:8)
Noah was a blameless and righteous man who walked closely with God (Genesis 6:9). The way he lived earned him the status of finding favour with the LORD. We know that no one is righteous or blameless today apart of the gift of grace that is made available to us through the death and resurrection of Christ (Romans 3:23). But that doesn’t mean that we can’t strive to live like Noah did. He found favor with God and I’m sure that it was due in no small part to his determination to obey God’s every command.
Noah did everything exactly as God had commanded him. (Genesis 6:22)
Notice that Noah didn’t just do the things that were easy to him, or the things he thought made sense, no he did everything exactly as God told him to do it. Finding favor with God means trusting Him at His word and following His plans without reservation. When God says “Go” you ought to go. When He tells you to speak for Him you need to trust Him. The key to finding favor with God is choosing to be the kind of person who trusts and obeys Him no matter what.
